Abstract

Improving the quality of higher education today involves abandoning the transfer of knowledge from the teacher to the student in ready-made form. It is necessary to transform a future specialist from a passive consumer of knowledge into an active searcher of knowledge, who can formulate a problem, analyze the ways of its solution, find the best result and prove its correctness. Strengthening the role of students' independent work means a fundamental revision of the educational process organization at a higher education institution, which should be built so as to develop the ability to learn, form a student's ability for self-development, creative application of acquired knowledge, teach ways of adapting to professional activities in the modern computerized world. Independent activity is one of the most accessible and reliable ways of improving the effectiveness of learning and enhancing the learning process.
