About the Conference

The International Conference on Biosecurity, Chemical Safety, and Global Cooperation (BioChemSecurity 2026) brings together researchers and practitioners working in biosecurity, chemical safety, environmental protection, and related fields. This 2-day hybrid conference provides a platform for sharing cutting-edge research, innovative methodologies, and regional experiences in addressing biological and chemical safety challenges.

With a focus on the intersection of biosecurity and chemistry, the conference highlights areas such as bioremediation, environmental biotechnology, analytical chemistry for biosecurity, and green chemistry for sustainable solutions. It addresses both fundamental research and practical applications to tackle environmental and biological threats facing our region and the world.

Recognizing the critical role of chemistry in addressing biosecurity challenges, BioChemSecurity 2026 places special emphasis on chemical safety and innovation. From analytical chemistry for threat detection to green chemistry for sustainable solutions, the conference showcases how chemical sciences contribute to global biosecurity efforts.

All accepted papers will be published in BIO Web of Conferences, ensuring Open Access publication with global visibility and impact.

Call for Papers

Authors are invited to submit full and original research papers (6+ pages) including surveys, tutorials, perspective/colloquia articles on conference topics of interest through the conference submission system. The Call for Papers opens on July 1, 2025 and submissions are due by December 31, 2025.

Papers that meet the primary requirements and have proper formatting will be accepted for review. The remaining papers will be peer-reviewed by three reviewers based on their technical quality, relevance, originality, significance, and clarity. If necessary, a fourth reviewer may be involved. The Program Committee will use the reviews to determine which papers will be accepted for presentation at the conference. Review results will be announced to the submitting authors by email, along with reviewer comments.

Accepted papers will be submitted to BIO Web of Conferences within three months after the conference.

Primary Requirements

  1. Submissions must be:
    • Basically correct and sound
    • Original (not published elsewhere partly or in full and not submitted to other venues for simultaneous consideration)
    • Within the conference scope
    • Presented at the conference (at least one author should attend)
  2. Up to 2 papers per author (including as co-authors) are accepted.
  3. Authors utilizing language models (LLMs) to aid in idea generation or drafting of papers should explicitly disclose their usage, providing complete transparency about the LLM employed (including name, version, model, and source) within the submitted paper. Such usage must be appropriately documented in the Methods section or acknowledgment section of the manuscript.
  4. Authors must ensure citations enhance value, remain unbiased, support relevant points, and avoid superfluous references to manipulate citation scores.
  5. Please disclose any potential conflicts of interest in the acknowledgments section when you submit your article.
  6. Authors are encouraged to refer to the Committee on Publishing Ethics (COPE) for all aspects of publication ethics (https://publicationethics.org/) and to conform to the ethical rules described at BIO Web of Conferences Publishing Ethics.

Ethical Guidelines

  • A single study is not split up into several parts to increase the number of submissions ("salami-publishing")
  • No data have been fabricated or manipulated to support the manuscript's conclusions
  • No data, text, or theories by others are presented as if they were the author's own ("plagiarism")
  • Consent to submit has been received from all co-authors and responsible authorities
  • Authors whose names appear on the submission have contributed sufficiently to the scientific work

Formatting Guidelines

BioChemSecurity 2026 uses the EDP Sciences format for the proceedings. For preparing your submission, you should use:

Paper Submission Process

Papers should be submitted through the conference management system https://notso.easyscience.education/biochemsecurity/2026/. Please create an account by clicking "Create an account" link at the login form. You will be offered to enter your email and click the 'Create account' button. The instructions for signing in to the submission system will be sent to your email. After completing registration, you should sign in and complete your profile. Please list potential conflicts of interest - we use this information when assigning reviews. At the "New Submission" link of the BioChemSecurity 2026, please fill in the forms as requested by the instructions.

Important: Due to the double-blind peer review process, you need to prepare two versions of your article in PDF format:
  1. A regular manuscript (with author information)
  2. An anonymized manuscript (without any identifying information)

Anonymization Guidelines

  • Remove all author names and affiliations from the anonymized version
  • Refer to your own work in third person (e.g., "Smith et al. [1] demonstrated" rather than "we demonstrated [1]")
  • Ensure figures and tables contain no references to author affiliations
  • Name the anonymized file appropriately (without author names)

Submission Guidelines

  • Language: All submissions must be in English
  • Length: Minimum 6 pages (no maximum limit)
  • References: A maximum 15 references per article is allowed, with only a maximum 3 citations to proceedings article.
  • Format: PDF format following EDP Sciences template
  • Review: Double-blind peer review process
  • Publication: Accepted papers will be published in BIO Web of Conferences
