At the Academy of Cognitive and Natural Sciences (ACNS), we believe that scientific knowledge should be accessible to all researchers, educators, and learners worldwide—regardless of their financial circumstances or institutional affiliations. Since our founding, we have remained committed to providing completely free access to high-quality academic publishing and scholarly conferences.

What we do?

Diamond Open Access publishing
We publish peer-reviewed journals that are free for both authors and readers, e.g.:

Free academic conferences
Through our ACNS Conference Series, we provide low-cost publication services for conference proceedings, making scholarly events more accessible to organizers worldwide.

Quality assurance
All our journals are indexed in prestigious databases, ensuring global visibility and credibility for published research.

Why your support matters?

The true cost of "free"
While our journals and conferences appear free to users, maintaining this model requires significant resources:

  • Technical infrastructure: website maintenance, online publishing platforms, and digital archiving systems
  • Editorial support: managing peer review processes, maintaining editorial boards, and ensuring publication quality
  • Indexing and metadata: maintaining presence in academic databases and assigning DOIs

Growing impact, growing costs
Our journals are gaining recognition worldwide—Science Education Quarterly was recently accepted into DOAJ, and Journal of Edge Computing was indexed by Scopus, so our publications receive thousands of downloads monthly. This success means increased operational demands and higher costs.

Personal commitment reaching limits
Until now (August 2025), ACNS founders and organizers have personally funded these operations. However, as our impact grows and costs increase, personal resources are no longer sufficient to maintain the high standards our community deserves.

$30 - Maintains website infrastructure for one month
$100 - Covers annual fees for one journal
$500+ - Helps ensure long-term sustainability of all ACNS operations
